Brief
I was tasked with creating a looping motion poster influenced by the style of a fine artist selected at random. The poster is intended to promote a fictional gallery exhibition showcasing their work

The Artist
The artist I got was Nick Caves
Born on February 4, 1959, in Fulton, Missouri. Growing up in a large, supportive family with limited resources, he developed a talent for transforming discarded materials into vibrant, intricate artworks.
After looking through his artwork, I focused on the Tondo Series and the Sound Suites
Nick Cave’s Sound Suits and Tondo Series transform discarded materials into vibrant art. The Sound Suits, wearable sculptures, explore identity and empowerment, while the Tondo Series features bold, circular mixed-media works. Both highlight themes of transformation and the beauty of overlooked objects.
Explorations
While developing the moving poster, I explored various mediums and concepts. Among the three proposals, the one combining the Sound Suits and Tondo Series received the most positive feedback, leading me to refine and focus on that direction..
